Honestly, the story defies logic. Marian became GMA’s hottest property after Angel Locsin moved to ABS-CBN where, everyone knows, her career didn’t take off. So why would Marian want to follow Angel’s footsteps and lose her firm foothold now at GMA? Besides, her current show, “Darna,” continues to be one of the station’s topraters on primetime so there’s no reason for her to jump ober da bakod.

Loren Legarda enters Pinoy Big Brother House

Two-time Vice Presidential candidate and current Senator Loren Legarda entered the famed and controversial Pinoy Big Brother house earlier today. A reliable source confirmed that the lady senator from Batangas will be staying there for about 12 hours.

The said entry to the PBB House earned a lot of criticisms. A friend from undergrad wondered how come Loren had 12 hours to spare inside a House where she can do nothing but pose before the TV camera while she can spend the 12 hours productively in another House – the Upper House of Congress.

Personally, I like Loren’s effort to save the environment for I am an environmentalist myself. However, her entry to the Pinoy Big Brother house seems to be a bit absurd.

Jake Cuenca – Melissa Ricks romance pure gimmick?

A reader of Ka-Blog sent a tip stating that the publicized romance between Star Circle alum Melissa Ricks and sexy starlet turned drama actor Jake Cuenca is nothing but pure gimmickry.

The tipster said that Jake’s purported romance with Melissa serves as a red-herring to hide Jake’s alleged relationship with a gay TV executive. The tipster added that it was the gay TV executive who came up with the plan of making Melissa appear as Jake’s love interest.

The source further said that the gay TV executive had a meeting with Melissa’s mom. The young actress’ mom did not approve of the plan at first. But in order to lure her, Melissa was given a series of projects. That, according to the source, is the reason why Melissa has lots of projects.
